ADVANCED

Scuba divers describe the PADI Rescue Diver course as the most challenging, yet most rewarding course they’ve ever taken. Why? Because you learn to prevent and manage problems in the water, and become more confident in your skills as a diver, knowing that you can help others if needed.

ADVANCED

Enriched air, also known as nitrox or EANx, contains less nitrogen than regular air. Breathing less nitrogen means you can enjoy longer dives and shorter surface intervals. No wonder Enriched Air Diver is the most popular PADI® specialty.

ADVANCED

Discover simple to follow steps for emergency care. This course focuses on building confidence in lay rescuers and increasing their willingness to respond when faced with a medical emergency.

ADVANCED

Complete three Adventure Dives and you earn the Adventure Diver certification. Complete 5 Adventure dives and you earn the PADI Advenced Open Water Diver certification.

WETSUIT

The wetsuit has the mission of keeping our body warm while we are in the water. There are different thicknesses, choosing one or another depends on the temperature of the water where you are going to dive.

FINS

Fins are another important essential to your scuba diving equipment. When diving, fins let you move through the water seamlessly, without wasting too much energy.

BUOYANCY CONTROL DEVICE  - BCD

A BCD is a device that will allow us to control neutral buoyancy underwater and keep us in positive buoyancy when we are on the surface. Depending on the configuration we use, there are different models of BCD. The most common in recreational diving is the jacket.

DIVING TANK

The diving tank is the device that keeps compressed the air mixture that we are going to breathe. According to the material, we have two types of tanks. They can be made of steel or aluminum.

MASK

A complete list of scuba diving equipment has to include a good mask, or you will not be able to see underwater. Choose well, verify that the skirt adjusts well to your face.

REGULATOR

Never forget the regulator, as this is what allows you to breathe underwater. The regulator has a part called the first stage that connects to your scuba tank and moves air from the tank when you inhale. There is also a part called the second stage, which is what you put in your mouth to breath from.

DIVE COMPUTER

A dive computer tells you how much time you have left to finish your dive.  These devices calculate through algorithms that take into account the data obtained during the dive and compare it to your decompression model.

DIVE BELT

The dive belt is the part of the equipment that will help us compensate for the elements that cause positive buoyancy, such as air bubbles in our wetsuit or the human body itself. With it we will be able to dive more easily.

Get to know your equipment...

We maintain our rental diving equipment and any other equipment ourselves, which means we are sure about the quality of our diving gears we will provide to you! Choose the Night Adventure Dive.

WHAT ARE THE POSSIBLE ADVENTURE DIVE OPTIONS
DEEP DIVE

The lure of the deep. There’s something exciting and mysterious about exploring deeper dive sites while scuba diving. Sometimes it’s a wreck that attracts you below 18 metres/60 feet, and on wall dives it may be a giant fan or sponge. Whatever it is, to scuba dive with confidence at depths down to 30 metres, you can take the Deep Adventure Dive. During your deep dive with your instructor, you’ll go over the basics of:

Deep diving equipment.

Deep dive planning, buddy contact procedures and buoyancy control.

Managing your gas supply, dealing with gas narcosis and safety considerations.

UNDERWATER NAVIGATION

Be the scuba diver everyone wants to follow because you know where you are and where you’re going. The PADI Underwater Navigation adventure dive fine-tunes your observation skills and teaches you to more accurately use your compass underwater. You’ll learn the tools of the trade, including navigation using natural clues and by following compass headings. During this dive, you’ll practice the basics of:

Methods to estimate distance underwater.

Compass navigation while making at least five turns.

Marking or relocating a submerged object or position from the surface.

Underwater map making.

NIGHT DIVE

Scuba diving at night teaches you to focus on what you can see in your light’s beam, on controlling your buoyancy by feel, on staying with your buddy and on paying attention to details you may overlook during the day. During the night dive you’ll practice the basics of:

Light handling and communication techniques

Entering, exiting and navigating in the dark.

Identifying how plants and animals differ or change behavior at night.

PEAK PERFORMANCE BUOYANCY

Excellent buoyancy control is what defines skilled scuba divers. You’ve seen them underwater. They glide effortlessly, use less air and ascend, descend or hover almost as if by thought. They more easily observe aquatic life without disturbing their surroundings. You can achieve this, too. During the Peak performance Buoyancy adventure dive you’ll learn the basics of how to:

Determine the exact weight you need, so you’re not too light or too heavy.

Trim your weight system and scuba gear so you’re perfectly balanced in the water.

Streamline to save energy, use air more efficiently and move more smoothly through the water.

Hover effortlessly in any position – vertical or horizontal

DRIFT DIVE

The PADI Drift Adventure Dive teaches you how to enjoy going with the flow as you scuba dive using ocean currents to glide along. It feels like flying – except that you’re underwater using scuba equipment. During this adventure dive you’ll learn the basics of:

Receive an introduction to drift diving equipment – floats, lines and reels.

Get an overview of aquatic currents – causes and effects.

Practice with buoyancy control, navigation and communication during the drift dive.

Learn techniques for staying close to a buddy or together as a group as you float with the current.

FISH ID

“What was that fish?” is a common question heard after a dive. If you want to be the scuba diver with the answers, instead of the one asking the questions, then take the Fish Identification. During this adventure dive you’ll learn the basics of:

How to identify characteristics of local fish families and species.

Fish survey techniques and strategies.

About Project AWARE activities that can help protect aquatic life
